STYLE ICONS X MONIQUE MCMAHON - FOILS ARE BACK
According to Monique McMahon, founder of the cult cool-girl salon Que Colour in Darlinghurst, Foils are back with a vengeance. “Everyone knows foils are the foundation of all good colourists. This year we’ve felt a shift in the salon and throughout the industry as colourists are reinventing the timeless technique with their own creative flair.”
“My team have really pushed the boundaries of what foils can do in order to deliver colour to their clients that is tailored to them. Clients love it, the results are consistent and that’s what triggers client rebookings”
“These days it’s more than “just foils” – we have a few little tricks that elevate the service once you’re at the basin. Bleaching your hairline is just one of secrets we’ll be sharing in our new colour series workshops”
QUE Academy, McMahon’s education platform, launches an all-new series of colour workshops with a session dedicated to learning how to “Foil like a Boss” followed by ‘Hand Painting’ and signature ‘Freestyle Colour’.
Designed for the in-salon and freelance educator, the workshops combine two tried and tested formats to engage and inspire salon educators. Each session opens with a Look and Learn segment, followed with hands-on for the rest the afternoon.
Our colour language will put a price on your techniques to elevate your team and your sales.”
“Inspire your Educator to drive a stronger education program within the salon. With dedicated Educators becoming the norm, we’ve developed a great platform to help bring leading-class colour training into salon. Take your knowledge back to the team!” explains McMahon.
